2009 GD Chicago Gold in 40K Vehicle

This is my 2009 40K vehicle entry for Chicago GD in which I won Gold with.
I'm very happy with the results as I tried a lot of new techniques for the weathering I read out of the Master Class Book from Forgeworld.

I hope you like it.

Excellent detailing and weathering you've got going on there! I'll be honest, though: I think the default color scheme of the tank itself seems rather bland, but the weathering effects, tinting gradations, and atmosphere you've given this thing with the equipment stowed aboard, the armor damage, and subtle things like missing track guards and such put this way over the top on the coolness scale!

Congrats on the well-deserved Golden Demon!

I just received the Masterclass book as an early birthday gift the other day (great book!), and it's pretty apparent that you've got a firm handle on the stuff they present... I've been using FFF in with my thinner since getting back into painting, but I'm trying to figure out if the gallon cans of Klean Strip Mineral Spirits I've had sitting in the garage for a few years are what I'm after, or whether I'll be melting some test subjects here soon.

Congratulations :)

Its nice seeing solid technique & execution pay off. For too many years awesome models like yours sat to the side while the crazy stand out stuff like demons would get the awards.
